Our Process

NeuTerre Supplements started when Cura Global Health discovered that koji culture had the ability to take up and store high amounts of minerals, including iron, zinc, copper, chromium, calcium, selenium, manganese, and molybdenum in one fermentation. This unique process means that over 90% of the iron in Neuterre Whole Food Iron Supplements is stored within the koji cell structure, as the image below demonstrates.

How is Koji Iron Created?

The process for making koji fermented minerals is based on a 2000-year-old Asian tradition of using this microorganism to ferment foods and the innovative Cura Global Health Inc. patented/patent pending Koji Fermented mineral technology.  Our process starts with koji culture grown in rice. Once the culture has matured, we add it to a fermentor, along with food-grade nutrients and inorganic minerals. At the end of the fermentation, the koji mineral biomass is harvested and dried. There is no extraction or purification of the biomass, simply a physical separation. NeuTerre’s process for creating our whole food supplements has been certified by independent third-party organizations to meet high-quality standards.
